Protein Heaven Bars

Here’s a quick and easy healthy snack recipe for you to share with your clients.

Protein Heaven Energy Bars

20g crushed nuts e.g. hazelnuts, almonds, cashews
20g dark chocolate (70% cocoa), chopped finely
20g flaxseeds, whole or ground
30g organic raisins
2 medium eggs
1 egg white
40g whole porridge oats
50g peanut, almond or cashew butter (preferably no added sugar)
50g choc whey protein
3 medium bananas (approx 250g)

Makes 9 bars
1 bar contains 168 calories, 13g carbs, 8g fat, 11g protein

Pre-heat your oven to 190˚ C. 

Line a baking tray with parchment paper.

In a large bowl, mash the bananas. Add all of the other ingredients and mix thoroughly.

Pour the mixture onto the tray and flatten with a spoon. 

Bake in the oven for approximately 12 minutes.

Allow to cool on a rack, then chop into 9 pieces. Store in an airtight container for up to 4 days.
